Dal Makhni.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Whole Urad Dal.
- 1/4 cup Rajma.
- 1 Dry Red Chilli.
- 2 Tomatoes.
- 1 tbs Ginger Garlic paste.
- 1 tbs Butter.
- 2-3 tbs sour Cream.
- 4-5 Cloves.
- 2 Bay leaves.
- 1 small stick cinnamon.
- 5-6 whole Black Pepper.
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds.
- 1 tbs Garam Masala.
- 1/2 tbs chilli powder.
- 1/2 tbs Kasoori Methi.
- Salt.
Procedure
- Soak The whole Urad Dal+Rajma+dry Red chilli overnight.
- Then Pressure cook the soaked dal and rajma.(slightly overcook it,about 5 whistles).
- Blanch the Tomatoes and puree them.
- Put some oil in a pan.
- Add the Butter.
- Add the Cumin seeds and the Cloves , Bay leaves and Whole Black Pepper.
- Add the Ginger Garlic Paste and saute till slightly browned.
- Add the Tomato Puree.
- Cook for 2-3 min.
- Add the Garam Masala+Chilli powder and let it cook for 2-3 mins.
- Add the cooked Dal and rajma.
- Add Kasoori Methi.
- Add salt as per taste.
- Cook on low flame for 5-8 mins.
- At last add the sour cream and switch off the burner after a minute.
- Serve with Parathas or Steaming rice.
