Ukadiche Modak:)


puran


  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • little less than 1 cup jaggery
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • cardamom powder and saffron (1tbs of khoya optional)
  • heat for few mins till  little dry(puran is more on wet side)

ukad


  • 1 n 1/2 cups rice flour
  • 2 tbs maida
  • 1 n 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tbs ghee
Procedure
  • Mix water,ghee and salt ..bring it to a boil
  • Add maida n rice flour
  • Cover and keep for 2 mins on low heat
  • Knead it into a soft dough.
  • Using modak mould
  • Close the mould put rice flour ball into it.....start making a hollow so that u can fill in the puran .seal it with excess dough...steam for 15 minss...
