Black Eyed Peas Tikki...!!
Ingredients1 cup boiled Black eyed Peas.
1 medium Potato boiled/3/4 cup boiled mashed potato.
2 -3 tbs Chopped onion.
2 -3 tbs chopped red pepper.
3 tbs chopped fresh coriander.
1 Big garlic clove chopped.
1/2 tbs chilli powder
1/2 tbs Coriander Cumin powder.
Salt as per taste.
Pinch of turmeric.
1/4 tsp sugar.
1 tsp Garam masala.
1/2 tbs lemon juice.(add this to get that awesome taste)
1/4 cups bread crumbs for binding (add little more if required )
Procedure
Soak Black eyed peas overnight.Then next day add some water to it till it covers the black eyed peas and some salt.Cook for three wistles or till it is cooked through.DO NOT OVER COOK.EVERY BLACK EYED PEA SHOULD REMAIN SEPARATE.
Then to the cooked black eyed peas add mashed potato ,chopped Onions and red bell pepper.
Add all the spices.
Then add bread .
Mix everything and make nice tikkis.
Cover and refrigerate for 15 mins
Heat a pan .Add some soil to it.And carefully place the tikkis.
Shallow fry the tikkis till golden brown from both the sides.
Serve hot.
